We can provide you with substantial manpower support. We can refer individuals and groups of volunteers to your project!
You would need to designate a coordinator from your own team, who would ensure your volunteers were started in useful work on the day after arrival.
As our relationship with you grows, we would be able to provide volunteers with skills for specific projects that you might have – such as nursing, children, electrical, building, computer, etc.
After seeing and experiencing at first hand the work that you do, some participants will want to establish a closer and ongoing relationship with you. This could develop into important support/donor relationship.
Get involved!
You need…
- To be a recognized organisation.
- To commit to this program for at least a year.
- To be capable and ready to designate a coordinator for ensuring volunteers from Hope Development Volunteers are fully employed from the day after their arrival.
- To provide suitable accommodation with bathroom facilities. This can be dormitory-type but must have separate male and female quarters. Hope Development Volunteers can be flexible on facilities provided – which will be inspected before the start of a program. Payment for these accommodation facilities will be made to the organization by the volunteers themselves upon arrival.
- To provide three meals daily. This can be provided in the same locations as provided for your fulltime staff. Western food need not be provided, but local food should be traditional and not exotic. Please note that volunteers from western countries may consume volumes greater than local consumers. Alcoholic beverages need not be provided. A facility that allows volunteers to augment their consumption at their own cost would be appreciated (such as access to a local store to buy Coca-Cola and cigarettes) but is not a requirement.

Life skills volunteers organization approach is enhancing life skill as human learned ability to do something well assist people to function better throughout their lifetime. We believe that over time, the beneficiaries shall learn to move from solving simple challenges to improve to tackle more complex ones
The project targets vulnerable multi-generational households (impoverished households headed by teenage children and older persons and with a burden of caring and supporting orphans, vulnerable children as well as HIV/AIDS patients).
We have 3 work Camps coming in June July and August each hosting 20 volunteers
1. Nyatike Girlchild Empowerment project Start and End dates: 3rd – 29th June 2013
2. Uriri HIV/AIDS and Economic Empowerment project Start and End dates: 9th – 27th July 2013
3. Sheltering Widows and Orphans ( Simerro) Start and End dates: 5th – 24th August 2013
The work camps include visiting the world famous safaris and visiting exciting tourist sites. Make a life time decision and be part of these exciting events.
